Betsy J. Peterson Award

This education award is given to select qualified candidates who are currently in the survey and opinion research profession or those interested in pursuing a career in this profession. The award has been established by the Marketing Research Association to provide financial assistance for qualified individuals to enhance their education in the survey and opinion research profession. It is given in recognition of MRA’s first Executive Director, Betsy J. Peterson.

The recipient of the award will receive enrollment funding for the Principles of Marketing Research Program (MRII) administered by the University of Georgia.

Applications will be reviewed and the award will be presented to the student(s) or person(s) who meet all eligibility requirements and who, in the opinion of the scholarship committee, will make a positive contribution to the profession of survey and opinion research. Due to USA Federal tax rules, this award can only be granted to persons who hold a US social security number.

The application period generally runs between February 1 – March 31 of each year. The application period for 2012 is closed.
