Jane Sheppard Miller
Was Director of Respondent Cooperation for the Council for Marketing and Opinion Research (CMOR).
CMOR merged with MRA on January 1, 2009.
Jane has worked in media, social science, and marketing research for over twenty-five years primarily in telephone data collection. She has worked for such companies as Arbitron, Westat, and The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. As Director, she works to define and measure the problem of respondent cooperation, describe action steps and guidelines to address the problem, and advocate industry-wide support of these actions and guidelines. In addition, she strives to educate research professionals about the seriousness of the problem, and convince the industry to rally behind these efforts. Jane received a Bachelors of Science in Sociology, and certificate in Social Work from the University of Akron, attended Walsh University graduate school , participated in an advanced management program in Leadership at Yale University, and obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Malone She has served two terms on the national board of the Marketing Research Association, as well as the local boards of the MRA Great Lakes Chapter, and the Akron-Canton chapter of the American Marketing Association.
