Global Advertising and Brand Specialist Phoenix Marketing International (Phoenix MI), an Insights Association member, has announced the appointment of Tamilselvan Gurusamy as its new CTO.

Gurusamy will be responsible for continuing and advancing Phoenix's mission of delivering industry-leading Ad & Brand solutions by applying state-of-art technology. Gurusamy will also manage application development, CX platform, business intelligence and the business analysis teams at Phoenix MI.

Gurusamy joined Phoenix MI as part of its acquisition of Nielsen’s TV Brand Effect. Prior to joining Phoenix, Gurusamy held the role of Senior Vice President, Technology at The Nielsen Company. His responsibilities included; leading digital expansion, AWS cloud transition of Brand Effect product portfolio, leading the development of Nielsen's Ad & Content Ratings platforms and expansion to China market.

Gurusamy has over 24 years of experience in delivering creative client-centric tools within the media research and retail industries. He holds a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, India. He will be based in Phoenix MI’s office in Oldsmar, Florida and report directly to Scott Spry, COO.
