Jeffrey Henning has been elected as President of the Market Research Institute International (MRII).
The founder and president of Researchscape International, Jeffrey Henning, was elected by the board of MRII as President for 2018, taking over from Jon Last, founder and president at Sports and Leisure Research Group, who now becomes Immediate Past President.
Dan Coates, president and co-founder of Ypulse, Inc., also became President-Elect and Michael Mermelstein, executive vice president of Nichols Research, became Treasurer.
MRII, a nonprofit organization, offers online market research courses designed to teach the fundamental skills needed to conduct robust and insightful market research.
"The MRII has a 22-year track record of providing research professionals with a firm foundation in market-research principles. Knowledge of these principles is key to integrating new methods into our work," said Henning. "I've long been passionate about evangelizing research best practices, and I'm honored to have this opportunity to serve the MRII and the global research industry."
Three new members also joined the MRII board for 2018: Guido Lara, Ph.D., Founder and President of LEXIA Global; Karen Scherbaum, Group Vice President, Consumer Insights, Macy’s Inc.; and David Scowcroft, Ph.D., Senior Vice President, Ipsos Healthcare.
They replace retiring Board members Susan Frede, Independent Consultant; Raul Lopez, Vice President Research, New American Dimensions; and Paul Snyderman, Ph.D., Independent Consultant.
