New Hire for Phoenix Marketing International

Global marketing services firm Phoenix Marketing International announced the hire of Steve Wolf as Chief Client and Marketing Officer. Steve will report directly to CEO Al DeCotiis and will be working out of the New York City office. He will be managing and coordinating corporate and business unit marketing and PR, and creating  and implementing a corporate business development process, sales management systems and coordinated sales activities. Steve is known for his substantial sales and leadership skills throughout a distinguished career at a number of global marketing research firms.

Research America Acquires Two Firms

Research America, Inc., a nationwide provider of marketing research and qualitative and quantitative surveys and analysis, announced the acquisition of Viewpoint Consulting and the completion of the aquisition of assets from Sigma Group, LLC.

Viewpoint Consulting is a leading agency specializing in pharmaceutical payer research, based in Langhorne, PA. Company founder Norm Smith and his research team will continue to support their clients from their current office location, and Smith has been named Director of Payer Research.

Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, Sigma Group is a specialist in healthcare marketing research, specializing in delivering several forms of satisfaction surveys and community image and preference market surveys for hospitals and healthcare systems. It was founded by Dennis Nutter in 1998.

MRII Releases New Version of the Principles of Market Research

MRII and the University of Georgia announced the release of a new module on data collection within both the Principles of Market Research and the Principles of Pharmaceutical Market Research online courses. The new module sorts out the strengths and weaknesses of various data collection methods and guides the learner through a process designed to match the data collection method to the client’s business problem. The revised module was developed by Pete Cape, Global Knowledge Director at Survey Sampling International and a widely recognized expert on new data collection methods.
