We finally have a court date for our legal challenge of the new Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) restrictions on telephone research.

The Marketing Research Association (MRA), CASRO, and a number of non-research associations and companies intervened last year in a lawsuit against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)'s 2015 TCPA rules. Things have been pretty quiet in the case since the intervenors (MRA, etc.) and petitioners (the parties that brought the suit originally) replied to the FCC's defense brief in February.

The circuit court has now scheduled oral argument for October 19, 2016, at 9:30 A.M., with the judges who will sit on the panel probably not going to be revealed until thirty days prior to the hearing.
